Job Responsibilities:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Maintains constant surveillance of residents/patrons in the facility; acts immediately and appropriately to secure safety of residents/ patrons in the event of emergency.
Provides emergency care and treatment as required until the arrival of emergency medical services.
Presents professional appearance and attitude at all times, and maintains a high standard of customer service.
Performs various maintenance duties as directed to maintain a clean and safe facility.
Prepares and maintains appropriate reports.
Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
Establishes and maintains an environment that promotes the safety of the residents as evidenced by:
? Being aware of residents whereabouts and abilities
? Being aware of hazards and efforts to eliminate them
? Reporting illnesses, injuries and unsafe behaviors to  staff 
Treats residents and staff with respect.
Represents themselves and the agency in a positive way.
Maintains a safe and healthy work environment.

Job Qualifications:
Education and/or Work Experience and Physical Requirements:
Must be sixteen years of age with 6 months to 1 year experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified. 
CPR Certified; Current certification as Lifeguard by a recognized source of training. 
Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations.
Skill in the application of lifeguarding surveillance and rescue techniques.
Necessary stamina and temperament to work with children and youth (Ages five to 18) who are experiencing crisis and/or emotional and/or behavior disorders.
Maintain high level of confidentiality and appropriately handle confidential information.
